"We are what makes evil afraid of the dark."
Logline: "A student's search to discover if his teachers are modern Robin Hoods or killers is interrupted by an attack on his school, the secretive Academy of Villains."
This present-day story centers around Terrance, a student at one of a series of secret schools around the world that were once built to turn plague orphans into well-trained servants, or 'villeins.' But as the spelling changed over time, so did the school's purpose. Now Terrance must uncover the Academy's secrets before an upcoming exam decides which students will be villains and which will be victims.
